The Cottage Bring your friends and family to spend time at the lake, see all of the wonderful sites from here, play with your toys on and off the lake, rent some one else's toys and equipment or have professionals take you out fishing, boating, horseback riding, and don't forget about Golf and all of the tourist attractions. We're 3 minutes from the world famous Glass house.
The entire upstairs of the Spa is the one-bedroom rental
suite, beautifully designed and finished for comfort with a huge living room with two fold out futon beds, a seperate bedroom, full bathroom, and a complete kitchen with all of the appliances and dishes you'll need. (see the Photos page) Situated alongside
Sanca creek and accross the street from the lake it overlooks a beautifully landscaped yard of perennial and rock
gardens, and a pond with a 10-foot waterfall. Inner Garden is a two-minute walk
from the beach in a peaceful, secluded community on Kootenay Lake, 30
kilometres north of Creston, and 30 kilometers south of Crawford Bay and the longest free ferry ride in the world. You can acsess anything on the east shore of Kootenay lake in half an hour from here. The suite comes complete with every thing
you’ll need. Just walk in with your own groceries and be prepared for
a relaxing stay. The bedroom has a luxurious double bed and the living
room has two futon couches that fold out into comfortable double beds.
Six people are comfortably accommodated. It has a full bathroom, modern
kitchen, and 2 beautiful outdoor decks at either end of the suite. The
covered front deck is the best place to watch the sun set. The back deck
is open with a BBQ and table with an umbrella. You can choose to sit in
the sun or put up the umbrella for shade.
Outside in the
beautifully landscaped yard are serenity stations. There is a gazebo for
lying in the shade, a hammock in a spot of solitude, a bench to sit next
to the pond with a water fall, a campfire pit that is lit every evening
and a tipi for those that prefer to sit inside by the fire.
That was just the back yard, the
front yard is more open with flat grass where you can relax or use our
games such as Bocce ball, horse shoes, wrap the balls around the post, badminton, volley ball,
Croquet, and by the garage you can shoot hoops with our basketball.
Walk or ride your
bike to the beach (two-minute walk) in our quiet, safe neighbourhood. You
can swim, canoe, kayak, suntan, snorkel, fish or just plain play in the
sand. You can bring your own boat and go water skiing if you wish. There
is boat launching available in our local area. At the other end of the
block (a one-minute walk in the other direction from our place) the mouth of Sanka Creek
boasts some of the best trout and Kokanee salmon fishing in the area.
Local braggers say they've never been stumped fishing in this bay.
Across the highway is unlimited hiking and mountain biking or even dirt
biking, four wheeling and snow mobiling in the winter on and off the numerous logging roads in the mountainous
area. Speaking of bikers, people come from all over the world to ride
bicycles and motorcycles along the beautifully scenic road following the
east shore of Kootenay Lake. From Creston (a fruit and farming community
host to the Creston Valley Wildlife Management Area and Kokanee beer),
to Crawford Bay (some of the funkiest shopping on
the planet!) and finally Kootenay Bay where you'll encounter the
longest free ferry ride in the world.
